The Story of Munroe Island
Munroe Island, locally known as "Munroe Thuruthu," is a cluster of eight small islets nestled within the vast expanse of Ashtamudi Lake in Kerala's Kollam district.
Named after Colonel John Munro, the British Resident of Travancore in the early 19th century, the island holds centuries of history in its quiet lanes and swaying palms.
